Why We Love Paradise Valley
Paradise Valley is a small affluent town in Maricopa County, Arizona. According to the 2005 census, the population of the town was 14,558. Despite Paradise Valley’s relatively small area and population compared to other municipalities in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Paradise Valley is home to twelve resorts, making it one of Arizona's premier tourist destinations.
The terrain of Paradise Valley is dominated by Mummy Mountain. Other landmarks include Camelback Mountain in the south and the Piestewa Peak mountainous area in the west.
Paradise Valley is a quiet desert oasis in the heart of the Scottsdale-Phoenix area. With an average of 294 days of sunshine a year, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a number of exciting activities each day. From the town, only short drives are needed to access a number of memorable attractions. Points of interest in the area include arts and culture spots, professional sporting events, desert hiking adventures, world-class golf courses, shopping, and luxury spa treatments. Within Paradise Valley itself, one notable attraction is the Goldwater Memorial. This statue was commissioned to celebrate the life of Senator Barry Goldwater, a long-time resident of the town.
